[translation] 20140725 Niconico Live Broadcast "BoA single「MASAYUME CHASING」Release Special ～Summer Karaoke Event～"

 Following all other BoA's recent singles pattern, Masayume Chasing also has a special broadcast on Niconico Live. This time, fans voted for summer karaoke songs beforehand and the top20 was announced during the broadcast. BoA herself also selected a few songs and recorded comments about those chosen songs. These clips were replayed during broadcast if fans chosen songs matched with her choices.

*As a result, there might be some recorded but not replayed clips. For instance, BoA might have chosen QUINCY too but as it was not selected by fans, its comment clip could be left unplayed.

Surprised to see SWEET IMPACT ranked in at no.1? You're not alone. I was watching the broadcast live that day and all the fans watching were surprised too. (There's a chatroom attached with every broadcast.) It was totally unexpected. 

Can we say SWEET IMPACT is a fan's favorite now? If BoA holds a concert in summer, she'd better included it in the set list! LOL

I myself voted for merikuri because I was sure it was the ultimate fan's favorite. Well, maybe if it's a winter karaoke event, it might rank in at no.1 :P

Songs she picked and her reasons:

Valenti: Talking about summer then one cannot forget Valenti. There's fire in the PV. Well certainly, it was made by CG. I think it's a fun song to sing in summer.

Masayume Chasing: It's a fun summer song. The choreography is also cute and I'm glad for it. (laugh shyly) It was shot at Disney resort so one can enjoy looking at the familiar location too.

Only One: This song is very hard to sing. You can easily get breathless singing it. I'm curious to see how fans will sing all the falsetto parts in this song. <= meanie BoA LOL

Some might wonder why avex (and BoA) bothered holding events like this. Number of viewers watching the program was only 10K+ and it probably wouldn't help with the sales much. The viewers mostly are hardcore fans and most probably have purchased the single one way or another already to support BoA. So there's not much to gain from holding such event, no? 

But I think events like this do not require much monetary-wise and also ask very little of BoA's time. On the contrary, fans feel very happy and closer to BoA this way. It was FUN. :D
