Only One/The Shadow MVs Behind Story

Last month, Kwon SoonWook, BoA's brother who directed MVs for her 7th album "Only One" posted below picture in his cyworld minihompy.

Along with it is a short behind story of the sequence of the 3 MVs shooting.

"Plan for Only One Drama version started after my sis let me hear her own written/composed song that she really likes. 'This probably won't be the title song, so Oppa, just shoot an MV for it (without worrying too much).' 

Finally it was slated to be the follow up song so after discussion, the MV would be made with Yoo AhIn. At this point in time, the title song (The Shadow) filming was already done at the end of May.

When we were about to finish last shot of Only One Drama version, NappyTabs choreography came in. The company meeting resulted in change of title song.

 So Only One Dance version work was in a real hurry. The MV was released only a few days after the shoot. It received lots of love while the drama version released a few days after got a lukewarm reaction?

It was supposed to be a follow up song with no Dance version MV.... Finding free slots in both Yoo AhIn and BoA's schedules was a pain. There was only one day where both were free... and we could use cafeAa for only 12 hours. But BoA's really happy when she saw the finished product.

Because good songs and movies that can deliver the lyrics can really help boost record sales...

But then I felt that public wanted powerful performances from BoA.

So we had everything in the Shadow MV which was supposed to be the title song.

Release 3 months after shooting... actually it took only half a month to do it...excluding CG touch up.

I took care of my body but right before the 2nd shooting, I was admitted to the hospital. The pictures still left in my phone. keke"

Isn't it ironic how an MV cooked up in a few days got more love than the ones planned in details and everything? Fortunately, at least The Shadow MV has more youtube view counts than Only One Drama Version now. I'm not too sure if this fact will console Mr.Kwon SoonWook or not though? :P
Anyway, such a good brother he is. Worked so hard for his sis until hospitalized! >_<
