[translation] bits and pieces from Make Your Move interview

A few days prior to Make Your Move release in Korea(and also USA), dozens of Korean news sites released BoA's in-depth interview. I translated some interesting bits and pieces here. Hope for a full translation from bilingual korean news site like Korea Herald and JoongAng Ilbo to feature her interview soon. *fingers-crossed*

According to the interview, BoA herself asked Duane to change Aya from a Japanese to a Japanese-born Korean. O_O

BoA's delighted every time she did ad-lib. "Shut up" and "Are you flowering crazy?" is her doings. :P

Big Match filming until next month. Japanese album production after that. :)

BoA changed her mind! She prefers her freedom over being bound to a guy now!

People around her said she needed to do romance movie soon b4 the tough image from Big Match sticks.

It's her last chance to be a 20-something lead in romance flick. (Korean age is 1-2 years older than the real age)

Q:Why don't u date?
A: I think being "BoA" is too burdensome for guys.

Q:How about dating an entertainer/celeb?
A:I also wonder why there're so few male celebs in Korea. I don't get to meet anyone! I guess I have to look for a guy overseas. As long as they like Korean food, I'm open to foreigners.

(about kiss scene with Derek) We practiced kiss scenes during acting lessons b4 so I wasn't really nervous about the kiss but at location, there were many ppl on the street and even paparazzi! I remember we frantically filmed the (kiss) scene.

While filming in Toronto, BoA missed Chicken&Beer the most. (Koreans love having chicken with beer.)

"After the movie Big Match and new JP album, I think it'd be year end already. Korean new release would have to be next year."

10Y from now "I should be married by then. But looking from current circumstances, that'd be difficult to achieve."

"After taiko, tap dance, couple dance practices, I also had English pronunciation practice to do. This went on for months"

"I don't wanna get away with my lousy accent for being Asian. So I've tried my best to learn English pronunciation."

BoA hates losing. She didn't want to feel inferior to native speakers on set.

"I don't wanna be treated differently just b/c I'm a star. I just do the best for my work everyday, go home, have meal with family, watch drama, have chicken&beer with my brothers sometimes. *smile* there r a lot of up and downs in entertainment industry. things going well now, bad at others. money coming in, and going out. I've learnt from young that minding each little detail would only hurt u.

BoA taught the "michin saeki" swearing word to Will Yun Lee. (It's his line in the movie.) (It means crazy bastard)

"Many have said there's not much diff between 20's and 30's but there's also a saying "Women' lives start at 30" so I'm looking fwd to it."

"I look fwd to building my filmography, as well as finding what kind of music I'd make in my 30's" ^^

"After shooting ended, Derek and I have exchanged a few emails. We've not contacted much but meeting again at the LA premier, we still feel close as if it was only yesterday that we filmed together."

"90% of the cast&crew were from LA so at the filming location in Toronto, away from home, everyone lived together like a family"

"Since the movie was shot 3 yrs ago, u'd be able to see chubby-faced BoA. Cheek fat disappeared as I aged"

"After 10Y of my career, I started having a dilemma whether I should go on living as an entertainer. Then I reached an answer "Yes, I must". Now I'm satisfied with my life. I'm living positively, having a healthy body and healthy mind."

"Big Match's action director complimented me saying I fight well"

"I'd like it if MYM viewers like the performance in it(since it's a dance movie) and even better if they think derek and I've got good chemistry"
