BoA Special Live 2013 : My Failure Story (LOL)

BoA SPECIAL LIVE 2013 Here I am
Even though it's very well known that BoA is an S, but isn't this too much? The very first concert in Korea in her 13-year long career, held in a mere 4,000 seat hall? BoA wants her fans to fight each other or something? LOL

I know damn well I have no chance to win this ticket war but I tried the ticketing anyway. I practiced reserving other concerts the day before to get familiar with the gmarket reservation system.

I prepared everything and when it was 1 min before booking start, I repeatedly clicked the seat reservation button and right when it hit 8PM KST, the seat selection window popped up.

seat chart (dont know what's the deal with the gray-out area)
When I managed to get in, there were 840 seats still available as you can see from the below screen caps.

840 seats available when I got in

I clicked each section, some were all white-seats (meaning already sold) and some still had one or two red seats (not a single area with a lot of red-seats as one would expected from the 840 seats screen caps above) but when I clicked every single one of those red seats, a message would pop up saying somebody's already taken the seat. Yes, by the time I managed to get in, Koreans with fast internet were already in the process of paying after selecting those red seats, leaving none for me.

Believe it or not, I did manage to get in fast enough to spot a red seat in the V2 section (right in front of BoA/the stage). Pity the person who managed to reserve that excellent seat during the fanclub pre-order round but failed to make the payment in time. ^^;

I'm super happy the concert sold out so fast though because this proves BoA's popularity. I do hope/predict SM will add more concert dates or even make a tour of it. They know how concert-deprived Jumpings are now. :)

  1. Thanks for sharing your experience, I also failed to manage buying the ticket. I know it would be selling fast, but I have never thought that it would be THAT FAST. I am hoping for additional concert but even if there's additional one, I want to attend both concert :p

    do you know when the payment deadline normally is? I am currently in panic attack getting the ticket, since I book the plane ticket and accommodation >.<

  2. I know many would want to go both days so even if SM decides to add one more concert, they'd better not have fanclub pre-order round because things would turn out to be the same -> no tickets for non-fanclub members. T-T

    I dont know for sure about the payment deadline, about a day maybe? Actually I should just say I don't know. sorry T_T

  3. So trueeee, even if there's additional concert I'm actually quite pessimistic for non-fanclub to get the tickets *even more panic attack* .. SMartist normally have like 2-3 days concert, and they give Boa 1 day concert ?! Still couldn't understand that situation =-="

    Btw, you're coming to the concert, say there's ticket available?

  4. From what I've heard, Koreans are not much of concert-goers plus BoA's popularity is not comparable to that of other SM artists so they were not sure whether she can sell 2 days concerts.

    *Deep down I think they know but want to produce a nice selling record by putting out a one-day small-venue concert to create the 'oh-so-rare-tickets' hype.

    I'm an ahjumma who can't tolerate the extreme weather and the hassle of flying, flight&hotel booking, etc. oh and there's also the money problem so no I'm not going even if there's a concert ticket falling from the sky right in front of me... wait! maybe I will if that really happens! LOL :P

    (I've been to her concerts before and I've been telling myself to be content with that.)

  5. Lol that's right, I heard that the capacity is only around 2700 which is quite small compared to other SM artist concert place. But somehow, I prefer smaller place coz you can actually see the singer on stage and not just staring at the screen >.<

    Lucky you to be able to see her solo concert, I am actually still newbie. Love Boa since Hurricane Venus time, can't resist that charisma <3 Oh, btw I was reading your other post about Boa's Japanese single, do you have step by step instruction on how we can apply for SOUL membership? I'm not quite familiar with Japanese items >.<

  7. Nice blog!

    Curious. Why did you try so hard to buy a ticket if you had no intention of going? Also why is C2 circle on the photo?

  8. @Yuki yeah I read that it was 2,700 seat capacity but then I read another post saying it was 4,000. I guess if you add the floor seats to 2,700 it becomes 3,xxx-ish nearing 4,000 or something? o_O;

    aww glad to hear BoA gained more fans during Hurricane Venus *sobs*

    sad to say but the thing with SOUL is you need a friend in Japan to do everything for you. A japan address is required. >_<

    @luker hehe it was to help a friend and also to prepare myself for future concert ticketing. even though I probably won't go anyway but I want to keep my options open. :)

    c2 circled because I clicked that zone before I capped the screen :)
