130226 J-WAVE Groove Line Z

I intend to translate this radio months ago but never got around to do it. Even though it's quite late but please have fun reading it. ^^

BoA segment started with the DJ saying it must be a lie that Korean girls do makeup well because BoA, yet again, came to the studio with no makeup. LOL

BoA said her polished face could be seen on TV programs so she thought it'd be nice to show up barefaced on radio. ^^;

DJ:Do you usually go places with no makeup?

BoA:Since I'm an entertainer, they normally force me to do makeups. But for radios, I usually do not have to.

DJ:No respect for radio, huh?

BoA:No such thang! (said in a gangster tone)

DJ:Your Japanese got funny since you haven't been here for so long.

BoA:Right. It got dirtier.(as in not polite)

DJ:Hanging out with bad folks?

BoA:No just that all my staff are males.

DJ:Yamashita-san! (BoA's manager's name)

BoA:LOL

DJ:So I've heard you've been doing a judge job in Korea and haven't come to Japan for a long while.

BoA:Yes. well...last year...(trying to think of her JP activities last year)...

DJ:You were not here last year.

BoA:That's it! I wasn't here last year. (BoA and her bad memory OTL)

DJ:But a lot of Korean groups have been working here, like 2PM

BoA:Yes my juniors have more work here than I do! LOL so I thought I had to work harder.

DJ:Aren't you the one with the best Japanese though?

BoA:I think so! LOL but everyone's good and works hard learning it. Feel like I have to work on my Japanese too.

DJ:But yours is fine! What have you been working on?

BoA:My muscles. You cant tell just by looking. Try touching here.

DJ:whoa it's hard. wow there's no more soft BoA.

BoA:This is so that I can dance better.

DJ:What kind of training are you doing?

BoA:Weight training.

DJ: and dance rigorously? If you dont dance, the dance muscles won't form?

BoA: Dancing is bad for joints so I need to form muscles around the joints for safety purpose. Do stretching and whatnot.

------ 2nd break --------

DJ:Any food you look forward to eat in Japan since you haven't come here in a long while?

BoA:I just ate ramen before coming here. Pirikaramisoramen (spicy miso ramen. She tweeted about it too, remember?)

DJ:Spicy? So you prefer spicy stuff?

BoA:umm.. it's less oily that way.

*talk about eating spicy food makes Korean people healthy.*

DJ:Isn't it bad for your throat though?

BoA:I've heard people say so but it doesn't seem to affect me.

DJ:You've debuted for 12 years already. All mature now.

BoA:But still bullied by Piston-san (DJ's name) LOL

DJ:There's nothing like that!

*talk about Only One single*

DJ:Did you translate the lyrics to Japanese yourself?

BoA:I drafted the Japanese lyrics and have someone else correct it for me.

DJ:Wow you're so good you can write Japanese lyrics!

BoA: But I've been doing it for ages!LOL!

DJ:Is that right? But this time it's released as a single. That's something!

BoA:Yes and the dance is really cool too.I want to show it to everyone.

DJ:Is the dance difficult for old folks?

BoA:I guess it's possible if you try hard enough. LOL

DJ:You know exercise DVD is a fad now?

*and the two (esp. BoA) got so excited about the exercise DVD. BoA said TRF's SAM released one and it's from AVEX. Then they called out to Yamashita-san.

BoA:Let's release one too!

DJ:I'll dance at the side.

----play Only One----

DJ then recapped about the exercise DVD excitement earlier and expressed his concern about the difficulty of singing and dancing at the same time.

DJ:There's no sing&dance exercise DVD in the market yet.

BoA:It should be twice as hard. Singing itself is already an aerobic exercise. Sing&Dance exercise would burn a lot of calories.

DJ:Let's release one then!

BoA: But I wont be able to coach! Cuz I'd be singing so I won't be able to talk and explain the moves!

DJ still insisted on making one. LOL
Moving on to Only One promotion.

DJ:No stage scheduled so far?

BoA:I'll be appearing on TV shows for Only One promotion. No concerts scheduled as of yet.

DJ:Only TV?

BoA:Yes. Still no idea about live concerts. That depends on AVEX's effort.

DJ:But you'll probably appear on stages in summer?

BoA:I think so. Like in summer festivals. I've been doing Xmas live every year but last year I was kinda short of time. It'd be nice if I can do it this year.

DJ:What about a new album?

BoA:Yamashita-san would know.

DJ:I guess you'll release at least an album within this year. Have you recorded quite a few already?

BoA:Not even one song! LOL I only think about Only One and nothing else now.

DJ:Cover albums are quite popular now.

BoA:Cover? (to Yamashita-san) Will we release a best album again? (Yamashita-san said no.) LOL I know nothing about my own work.

DJ:Very busy these days?

BoA:Since I have works both in Korea and Japan, it's not like the amount of work is huge but I need to really focus on these works.

DJ:KPOP is really big in Asia now, like in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia. The chance to perform there must increase.

BoA:Yes not long ago, we had SMTOWN concerts in Singapore, Thailand and also Indonesia. There were big crowds in the airports. A few hundreds were there in the Thai airport. The concerts were fun and energetic.

DJ:Korea's music business has really expanded into other countries.

BoA:Sites like Youtube also help spread the music.

DJ:It's a shame there's no such trend in Japan's music business since we seem to cater more for domestic market. BoA, you stand out in the world market so i wish you'd do your best and don't forget Japan. Come here from times to times.

BoA:What are you talking about? I'll come lots!

DJ:Yes you have to come eat ramen.

BoA:Yes, for ramen and also, I need to release an exercise DVD with you too. LOL

DJ:Yamashita-san! LOL

Then the usual closing. :)
